Hello Kiran,

you can get the timestamps of a spool processing in the following way:

  • on the selection screen of SP01 enter the number of the spool request, then execute it
  • double-click on the status text of the spool (e.g. on "Compl.", or on "Error", etc.)
  • double-click on the status text agian
  • in the new popup press the button "Events".

Now you see each event (and timestamp) of this spool. Please create a screenshot of this list (about the entire list, so: the timestamps on the left and the entries on the right).

Please also describe which Access Method is used for the Output Device.

Best regards,

Laszlo

Hi Laszlo,

The access method is Print using Berkely protocol, and i have try to ping the printer it is not responding.

Hello Kiran,

unfortunately a not responding printer can have various reasons: it can be a network problem, or the printer is busy, even a hardware error, etc.

If Berkeley protocol is used with SAPSPrint, perhaps the SAPSPrint log can show some information.

Other than that, in the case of problems with remote printers the administrator needs to check why it is not responding.

In this case unfortunately the timestamps of SP01 possibly won't give a solution.

Hello,

You can restart that spool work process for the moment and find out the cause later.

Hi Kiran,

Just check if printer is turned on right. You can give the test print from OS level and check if it's printing. One more thing is you can ping the printer if it's online.

Kind Regards,
