Hi guys,
I've installed SAP Content Server 6.5 without DB (we'll use a file system repository) on a Windows Server 2012 r2 (x64) with IIS 8.5.
All went fine with the installation, but now on the post-installation checkings, I'm facing a "page cannot be displayed error" when testing the connection to both the Content Server and Cache Server.
You see, the Installation manual states the following:
So, I go and enter the following URL in the browser:
http://sapcserv1:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
And the result is page cannot be displayed.
Searching for the solution, someone was saying that I had to allow the ContentServer.dll to be executed, and in order to do that I would go to IIS Manager and in ISAP and CGI Restrictions add the aforementioned dll.
So I installed the correspondent Role Service under Server Manager.
Went to IIS Manager and add the following 2 entries(as I have chosen to have a Cache Server also) in ISAPI and CGI Restrictions
But that didn't solve my problem, as the result is the same wether I try to contact the server via the URLs
http://sapcserv1:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
or
http://sapcserv1:1095/Cache/CSProxyCache.dll?serverInfo
Can you help me please, so I can start creating the content repository?
PS: Another thing, it might help in solving the case.
When I go and enter the following URL http://localhost/contentServer/ in the host machine it gives me this somehow more descriptive error:
Please help!
BR,
JD
Hi JD,
Please cross check whether following server roles are enabled in the server
(default selection plus Application development - enable from CGI upto Websocket protocol)
After installing required roles restart your server and run WebSiteManCS.exe (\SAP\CS Tool)
Let me know the result.
Thanks and regards,
Jayadeep
