Client Copy profile

Dear All,

We are planning to do a client copy from QAS to DEV so that we will get all our master data and transactional data to load to DEV system.

Is it possible to do it from SCC8 using Client Export and import method.

Is it possible to do with out affecting any client-independent data in DEV?

If yes Please help me in choosing the profile that has to be selected to do the client copy.

Yes, You can perform the client copy export/ import method, Refer the SCN link 1.2.4

 Is it possible to do with out affecting any client-independent data in DEV?

Yes, You can create the new client in target system without interrupting existing client.

 If yes Please help me in choosing the profile that has to be selected to do the client copy.

Check the different type of profiles in Client copy, based on your requirement you can select.

Is it possible to do it from SCC8 using Client Export and import method - Yes . Export /Import method should be the best possible method considering the speed and availability of the systems

Is it possible to do with out affecting any client-independent data in DEV? - Yes
