What is SAP SD VISTEX

Can somebody please explain me in detail what is SAP SD Vistex and how it is different from SAP SD.

Hi Rachit,

Vistex is a set of certified 3rd party ABAP extensions to SAP ERP and SAP BW.

Vistex has several components that can be implemented independently. When people talk about about Vistex they are normally talking about "Incentive Administration" and "Paybacks and Chargebacks" which extend functionality for managing pricing, rebates, chargebacks, royalties and so on and integrate with Sales Docs and Billing Docs. There is corresponding BW content.

There are also components for accelerating data management and payment resolution.

Despite its similar name, Vistex should not be confused with Vertex which as Sumeet says is for tax calculation.

Hi Rachit,

As i know from my previous project, SAP SD Vistex is used on IS-Retail solution for calculation payback and charge back to vendor regarding any promotion cashback or free item from vendor.
