Hello Gurus,
we had successful EHP7 installed in our DEV system.
After that we need to change some parameter for roll area and restart the system.
But it do not start and we can't find any log with information.
We have roll back the changes in the profile, but no change.
Has someone a suggestion?

Hi,
we found another profile parameter file in backup.
After compare with the actual we could see, that the other are merged with start profile parameter file from SUM.
With this one, the system is starting.
Thanks.
We'll search for more information about kernel and profile changes with 7.4 and check our profiles.
regrads
Chris
[EDIT] It seems that RZ10 do cut off the start parameter of parameter file?!

First check the trace files in the /usr/sap/E11/SCS<NN>/work directory.
Try restarting the instance after removing the stream files in the /tmp
If the system fails to start then check the trace files in the work directory of the SCS instance.

Do we have roll area in 7.4X ?
2085980 - New features in memory management as of Kernel Release 7.40
What is that parameter that you have changed ?
Can you share the logs from work directory, please ?
