"no start profiles found" on AIX box

Hi,

We have installed SAP Netweaver 2004 Java on AIX box (5.3).

During the installation the server started properly .

I could even access the portal.

But now if i am trying to stop the server .i am getting the following error.

ctsaix02:vanadm 45> stopsap all

no start profiles found

ctsaix02 -->m/c name

vanadm ->SAP Administrator

Please not the same error come's for startsap

Hi

Restart your system, i mean restart your machine and then try again.

This should solve the problem.

Rebooting the machine at times solves the problem.

Hi,

check whether userprofile is available under /usr/sap/SID/sys/profile.

check whether "admuser" has all the privileges and permissions.

check whether database is up and running.

try restarting your system once.

Hi,

This problem is resolved .

The profiles in the /usr/sap/VAN/SYS/run/profiles were in CAPITAL CASE

i.e START_JC00_CTSAIX02

so i renamed to START_JC00_ctsaix02

The hostname is the /etc/host was ctsaix02 (small case).

Hence it was not finding the profile.

Then it worked fine.
