ITSM Interactive Reporting - Call Report - Authority Problem

Hi experts,

I did setup Interactive reporting in ITSM according to this guideline.

SAP ITSM Analytics on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 - SAP IT Service Management on SAP Solution Manager -...

In development system it did work fine.

I did create a report and transport it to live-system (sure I also made the required steps in live-system first).

If I want to execute the report in live-system, I get the following error.

Details User authorization not sufficient

Diagnosis

The user doesnot exist in the BI client or has insufficient authorizations

Procedure

Contact system administrator to verify the user is setup properly in both CRM and BI client

Procedure for System Administration

Verify that the user exist in BI client with the same user id, if not create it and assign proper authorizations as per the configuration guide.

If I create an interactive report directly in the live-system, I don't get the error.

Does anybody know what the problem might be?

Kind regards

Authorities are good.

And I don't have an error in st01 trace and the roles are maintained.

Setup should be good and INteractive Reporting is working, if I create a report in the live-system directly (I did it once for another test, and the report could be executed without problems).

May it be another problem? I mean I transport the interactive reporting and there also the authorities (at least who is allowed to access the report) is defined at the end of creating the report.

So I don't know how exactly this works.

But I can imagine, that it is a bug and therefore not working.

Are you also using the transport function of interactive reporting?

Kind regards

Hi,

Yes, we will configure it in developement and then move the configuration to prod, also the interactive reports also we first create in dev only and that will be moved to production.

We can manually assign to which user this report should publish.

From the error it looks like the authorization issue.

Thanks

Hi,

Also please can you check the below note.

1421507 - Incident Management Reporting Central Note

1400814 - Self checks for IT performance reporting

These contained detailed info about the authorizations.

Hello Rishav,

I've checked the 1st note and it should be fine.

Second one I didn't check as IT_Performance Reporting works great.

I doubt that it is a regular Authority-Issue, as when I enter with another "user-Role" (e.g. solmanpro) it works fine.

So it can't be a classic authority which is missing.

Hi,

Strange, Because if it is SOLMANPRO profile parameter issue then it wont show the links in navigation bar or the options to work with reports.

If it is working with SOLMANPRO in user profile then i guess you can assign that if you want to customize the solmanpro and create a new role from this in order to restrict the access you can further remove the links and customized it as per your needs.

Thanks

Hello Rishav,

exctly, I've already copied solmanpro to a Z-Role for admins.

And there I did activate the reporting-area, therefore I can call it there.

Now I want to have them in another Z-Role and I can see them, however just always get the error-message.

Kind regards

Ok, now I did transport one to the z-Admin role which did work if I did create local.

And here I have the same problem.

So the problem seems to be the transported interactive reports.

Hi,

Yes from the description it only seems the transported reports only.

Also you need to assign the appropriate Z business role to the end users so that they can open the reports.

If you want to customize the Z business roles, pfb the link

Hello Rishav,

got it and did it already.

I don't know where else the problem can be.

Which release are you?

We are on 7.1 SP8.

Kind regards

Hi,

Please check if you have diffrent configuration for the developement and production system.

Are you using the same BI client for reporting in solman producion or diffrent one.

Thanks

Hi

Also please make suer that below conditions are fulfilled.

•You have the following roles in the SAP Solution Manager client

•CRM Operative Reporting User (SAP_CRM_OR_USER)
•CRM Operative Reporting Administrator (SAP_CRM_OR_ADMIN)

•You have following roles in the BW client:

• CRM Operative Reporting User (SAP_CRM_OR_USER)
• Activation of OLTP Reporting InfoTypes (SAP_CRM_OR_ACTIVATE)

•You have cross-client Customizing rights.

If it is diffrent client/system, make sure the step 2.3 Basic configuration-Setup credentials and create user is fine

Trused RFCs to BW client/System had to created accordingly.

Thanks
