Heuristics generate purchase requisitions following the safety days supply not by planning calendar.

Hi Gurus,

Here we have a scenario where a product is delivered on particular day of a week.We have already maintained the Period lot size with planning calendar settings and also we have assigned planning calendar to it.For purchasing from a specific vendor user have maintained safety days supply = 10 days.

So everyday when PPDS heuristics runs system tries to create the receipts (Purchase Requisitions ) 10 days prior to the demand which is correct but user want that system should strictly follow the planning calendar as well.Some receipts are created following the calendar but some are not due to demand date.

Please let me know whether we have any options to give priority more to planning calendar for purchase reqs creation and less consider the safety days supply.

Hi Deb,

Try assigning a shipping calendar for the vendor location in APO.

OR

Try assigning a transportation calendar with respect to Product/location specific Means of Transport in TLANE.
