File processing by date

Hello experts,

<br><br>

How can XI process files by date?

<br><br>

I read the documentation of the file adapter (<a

href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm">Configuring

the Sender File-FTP Adapter</a>)

<br><br>

It should be possible when the parameter file.processingOrder = is set to byDate.

<br><br>

This option can only be set by file type NFS but I would like to set this option by file type FTP.

<br><br>

Has anyone an idea how to acknowledge this?

<br><br>

With kind regards,

Hi ,

In FTP mode file adapter processing - Are you processing multiple files using a wild character ( *.XML OR . ) ?

In FTP if you set filter as . then it transfer all the files from source system to target system based on Time stamp only .

Please try this and let us know .

Files will be in an specific directory.

All files have to been processed throw XI.

Files have to be processed by creation date.

When I use . XI does not process the messages by timestamp. XI takes all the messages and process it random.

I was thinking, should it be possible when you create an J2EE adapter module?

I had always assumed that this was true for both NFS and FTP. But you question just made me read the help once again and you are correct the processing sequence is valid only for NFS as the SAP help clearly mentions.

Is it possible for you test out the results by yourself by providing multiple files and checking how the file adapter pciks the files?

Do update us if you find any inputs on this.
