How to create UDF for Header

I need help creating a UDF as I have never done this before. All help and easy to understand instructions/screenshots greatly appreciated.

I have field clientId in Header but I cannot get this value so i am trying to build a UDF to retrieve this.

I have no idea how to create UDF for this. Currently I have this but it doesn't activate:

Hi Glen,

To read the soap header information you need to use the "do not use soap envelop" option in sender channel. Please refer the below blog
