Build Failed Error in NWDS

Hi All,

I am working on NWDS (Net Weaver Developer Studio)

I started with a simple example of creating a Java application and

deploying it on NWDI, which was given on development manual for NWDS on

help.sap.com.Tutorial for Scenario 2+: Development with a Track

When I tried to build it using NWDS 2.0, an error got displayed stating

that “Build failed for sap.com/tst/tax/calc in variant "default":

Used component not found: sap.com/tc/bi/bp/javaLib”

Last week the example was tried using NWDS 7.0, but still getting the

same error message.

Please let me know as to how to resolve this issue.

Seems like you didn't import the base SCA's into the track (SAP-JEE, SAP_JTECHS, SAP_BUILDT (and EP_BUILDT if you intend to develop Portal apps)).

The base SCA's have been imported into the track. This has been cross checked again.

Can you see the DCs for these SC's in the Active DCs view? If so, try a Sync Used DCs on your own DC.

I had lost net connectivity yesterday. Yes, I am able to see the DCs for these SCs in the Active DCs view. How do I select Sync Used DCs? I am not able to find this option.

Hi

I think what Pascal might mean here is:

- Go to Development Configurations perspective.

- For your track, check if the SAP_BUILDT SC has all its DCs underneath it - on the Active DCs tab.

- Right click on sap.com/tc/bi/bp/javaLib and click 'sync archives'.

Maybe this will help.
