Configure CA Wily Introscope Manager (EM is Offline)

Good Day folks,

I hope you could assist. Not sure what i am doing wrong or where i might have gone wrong.

Basic Configuration of SOLMAN_SETUP STEP3.1 : CA Wily Introscope

1. I am getting an error message EM is Offline (above image).

2. Also not sure if i need to Install Wily Introscope on my Satellite Systems (DEV, QAS and PROD) (Documentation was not very clear on this)

3. If i have to, Can i use the Remote Installation on the CA Wily Enterprise Managers Administration to deploy on remote systems. i believe i will need to install EM Stand-Alone.

4. Lastly and i believe the answer to this question will depend on the answer provided in question 3. just need to make sure i cross all my I's and dot all my T's. When adding the satellite system on EM where it asks for Installation path do i provide the local solman installation path or that of the satellite system?

on the Remote Administration Tab the Start button is grayed-out.

Any assistance you could provide will be very grateful.

Hi Jaskirat & Rishav,

No the problem still persists.

1. Diagnostic Agent DAAADM has Admin rights to local files system.

2. Not sure what Management Modules you are making reference to. According to the installation doc that i have there was no mention of anything like this.

When i Logon to Web View on Tasks: Harvest Duration. I can see SupuerDomain and the Graph shows activity.

When i logon to EMAdmin:

Agent : SOLMAN

Remote Adminitration Tab:

• Data Source: Robomate: There is no hosts available.
• Data Source: Intern: I can See the host. On EM State it gives me No Users Defined and the Start / Stop is greyed Out.

Not sure what users the EM State on on Intern Data Source is making reference to and how to resolve.

On SOLMAN_SETUP: Its giving me

Manageable: Diagnostic Agent is not connected to Solution Manager

Status: Enterprise Manager is Offline.

If i go to Step 6.3 of Connect Diagnostic Agent:

I can see the Solman server and its connected:

Please let me know if you have any additional advise you can provide.

I have gone thru the entire installation process and i am still getting the same errors.

Just to add to the previous:

I also maintained the user Admin & Guest on EMAdmin & SOLMAN_SETUP: Basic Config Step 3.1

On EM Admin i can Start & Stop the Manager after updating the User details. (Wasn't aware of the credentials that had to be updated here also)

On the SOLMAN_SETUP: Basic Config Step 3.1: When i click on Reload Configuration i get the following warning:

Warnings occured while updating the EM Technical Systems in LMDB:

EM Instance SOLMAN.XXXX.COM:6001 ==> Host 'SOLMAN' is unknown. Provide and existing host.

I am using the Admin user for connection. As defined on below link on Page5:

Hi Johann,

Please check in Wily Installation document, it is mentioned to extract "SAP Management Modules" file in the home directory of Enterprise Manager.

File name would be like "WILY_IS_MM*.SAR"

Please perform this step and revert.

Hi Johann,

For host unknown issue please maintain the FQDN in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" file in Solman server.

Please verify the host related parameters in profiles RZ10 like SAPFQDN etc.

Hi Jaskirat,

I actually did load the SAP Management Modules.

I re-extracted them and overwritten the originals.

I did however manage to resolve the connection problem.

1. RZ70 the Host was configured as an IP address, changed to FQDN.

2. Did not maintain users for host on EMAdmin. (Wasnt aware of credentials here)

After doing this the Wily Introscope was able to connect.

However the error still persistes: Manageable: Diagnostic Agent is not connected to Solution Manager

I then executed the following two commands to direct the Diagnostic Agent to EM.

i did restart the Diagnostic Agent after script run.

After doing so I lost connection and both errors are back.

smdsetup.bat hostagentconf emhost:SOLMAN.XXXX.COM emport:6001

smdsetup.bat hostagent state:on

As for the Hosts file and SAP profiles they where already maintained:

HOSTS FILE: IP FQDN HOST

Profile: SAPLOCALHOST: FQDN

So it seems that i manage to brake it after running the two scripts.

I have rechecked all the config and everything is still the same prior to running the two scripts.

Problem was Resolved:

CA Wily Introscope V.9.5.6 is only supported from LM-SERVICES SP12

For LM-SERVICE on SP04 i need to install CA Wily Introscope V.9.1.0 or Upgrade LM-SERVICES.

Also with this error. As Jaskirat mentioned insure users: <SID>ADM, SAPService<SID> for both Diagnostic Agent and Solman has read/write access to Wily Install folder.

Insure User passwords are maintained for Admin & Guest user.

Hi Johann,

Please check below things.

1, The user that executes the Diagnostics Agent has read/write authorization to the Wily Introscope Installation directory

2  Also did you extract/deploy management modules post Wily EM installation.

Hi,

Yes, you are right you need to install the standalone EM or on the solman system also you can install.

Other systems will be connected automatically when you will be performing the managed system setup specially bytecode adapter installation and Interoscope activation.
