Exception when creating User

Hi Team

I am trying to modify a user id(Already existing on Portal and SAP Backend system) with new roles but i am getting below message in Audit logs.

Techincally user is getting modified in Portal and SAP system but there is error in GRC audit logs and SLG1 whch impacts the notification email as

Provisioning failed; check provisioning log for details.

Can anyone help me to avoid it.

Hi Natesh,

As a workaround did you tried to enable an escape path, in this path assign to a technical team, there when a similar error happens, technical team could fix issue and submit again without errors.

It worked for me.

I have raised this to SAP and after lot of follow up they have given me below note.

I havent implemted it till now.

1872047 - UAM: Wrong validity is updated for portal user

Regarding your workaround,can you let me what technical team is suppose to do here.Are they suppose to rectify the error manually and resubmit the workflow.

Thanks for sharing; I have implemented above Note: 1872047 and its work for me now as expected.

But there is one issue still pending, when we raise an user unlock in GRC request it gives the result as Finished/completed but at backend in SAP PO System it is not getting unlock, do you know why this is happening.

Good to know that the note is working.

Regaridng your issue ,please check the Audit logs and also  check the actions assigned to the request type in SPRO.

I guess the main issue has been rectified so we can close this thread.

If you stil have the other issue you can open a new thread.

refer the below SAP KBA and check settings

1958231 - Audit log for access request shows Auto provisioning failing with error, 'Exception when creating user: User with unique name "XXXX" already exists'

The above SAP note wont work for our design as we aslo create users on Portal via GRC AC.

Not sure why modifying a existing user on Portal gives error.

We have got a reply for SAP to implement below note to resolve the issue.

2098765 - UAM: Users are not getting provisioned in portal system through GRC

After implementing the above note ,the  below issue with notification mails has been resolved.

"Provisioning failed; check provisioning log for details"

We still have the issue while modifying the user access and the audit logs states EXCEPTION WHILE CREATING USER:USER WITH UNIQUE NAM

Not sure why GRC is trying to create a existing user when we use Change action.Raised the same with SAP Again and awaiting inputs.
