Product has no Shipper

Hello Experts,

We have landscape where ECC & TMS902/NW702 conncted. Requirement to have Order based/ Deliverybased Transportation requirement(TR).

We have CIF all master data (Product & BP) to TMS. When we create a sales order & delivery in ECC, it transmit to TMS system but failed there with error "Product XX has no Shipper". Where XX is item number in the order/delivery. Does anyone came across this issue? or can hrow some light on this.

Following activities done as a part of resolution.

1. Re-CIF all the master data (Plant, Shipping Points, Customer, Vendor & Products)
2. Locations are created in TMS for (Plant, Shipping Point & BP).
3. All BP locations are assigned with BP numbers in location master data.

Error is visible through txn SXMB_MONI - Integration Engine - Monitoring  in TMS. If I look at the payload details, I dont see the shipper information anywhere in the message header or TR details.

What is missing here? Appreciate your valuable inputs.

Please maintain a Business partner in the shipping point[loc type 1003] in TM. This BP will become the shipper for this order.

Even I had similar issue,but after adding BP GUID values it is working.

Thank you very much Bimal for your answer,I have couple of other questions.

1) When we do shipping point CIF,do we need to select any other option?

2) How to maintain BP values for shippin gpoints from NWBC?

In my case I just copied value from one shipping point to other to check.

1. I am not aware of any option available in CIF while transferring shipping points. In my project this update of BP is done manually.

2. NWBC->Matser Data->Transportation Network->Define Locations

do you know where we use this BP(which maintained in Shipping Point)? like freight calculation,planing etc..

Hi Malla,

If you want to create corresponding BP's automatically while CIFing Shipping points you need to implement BAdI as explained in SAP Note 1410353

The BP can be used subsequently in settlement, workflows etc. depending on how you have used partner determination and org structure.
