Turn off CSOL for Defects (SMTM) or Project Level

Hi

I've got quite an urgent question I hope someone can assist me with.

We have CSOL activated (which is extremely useful), HOWEVER, we do NOT want defects in ChaRM using this functionality. We have copied transaction type SMTM to ZMTM. Can we turn off Cross System Object Lock for ZMTM transaction type?

If not, how about turning off CSOL for a specific project?

I really hope the above is possible.

It is not possible to disable CSOL for a specific project or transaction type.

That is disappointing

Obviously most defects (SMTM transaction type) will have a conflict so people are just continually clicking on "Ignore" in the Downgrade Protection assignment block.

Hi Shaun,

For the sake of audit and logging, you could introduce a Digital signature at the ignore step. Which is a custom development.
