Hi,
I'm trying to connect our local installation of SAP WEB IDE to our server. I was success in connect the public sample gateway system "sapes1.sapdevcenter.com" but when I tried our system, I get this error. I have downloaded the destination file from our HANA cloud SAP WEB IDE account.
The thing is the system doesn't ask me to input my credentials. I was expecting a pop-up or something.
We also have a SAP WEB IDE hosted on HANA Cloud as a trial version. We don't have any problems connecting to our system using that.
Hi HMN Fiori

With all the suggested changes here like adding the client and changing the proxy type my last obstacle was the activation of the discovery service in SICF. This is the following node:
/sap/bc/adt/
You can check this be typing the following URL in your browser:
http(s)://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/adt/discovery
You should get a XML-file.
And I use the (Fiori Launchpad) https port and not one of these 800x ports.

Hi HMN Fiori,
I would suggest to test the service from your chrome browser(POST MAN) first and make sure that you are able to get the data from the service.
Thanks,
Naga

Hi,
1. Check whether the service is exposed outside in the internet without VPN connection.
2. If point-1 is not true, then you have go with HANA Cloud Connector to connect your HANA Cloud Trial Instance with your on-premise server. For this configuration you can check these threads , SAP HANA Cloud Platform , Cloud Connector - Setup
Thanks,
Naga
Hi Naga,
We are using VPN connection to connect to system. But when we are using our SAP Web IDE on Cloud, we can access the application just fine. Maybe this is because SAP Web IDE is using mock server already.
Do you happen to know how to expose a service without VPN? Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
There is a difference in the configuration of the system if you're using the local installation or the cloud version. For example to proxy type should be "internet" in the local installation and "OnPremise" in the cloud version.
See this developer guide for more info:SAP Web IDE Dev Guide (Local Installation) | SCN
