Hi,

I just installed BRAND NEW solman on windows server 2012 on oracle db (this system is for purely test and also JUST to get the stack.xml file from MOPZ).

So I am facing problem getting to solman_setup up and running. I logged in to client 000 and then went Tx code Solman_setup and internet explorer opens up and I say logon and the next window, another internet explorer window, opens up to show Http 500 Internal error. What I need to do?

I am also getting ST22 dump:

CX_FQDN=======================CP

Dear Jack,

you should create a working client as per SAP Note 1630984 ,does not run solman_setup in 000 client.also check all parameter is set as per sap recommended.

SAPGLOBALHOST=

icm/host_name_full =

icm/server_port_0 =

icm/keep_alive_timeout=

icm/conn_timeout=

and check Services is ruining on TX:SMICM,

Host file entry is properly entered with FQDN in local system. I hope as you can follow all above stuff and resolved your issue.

Kind regard's

Hi Jill

Why are you going to 000 and running SOLMAN setup.

Had you create the working client first. You should not run solman setup on 000.

After that you can check if you still face this issue.

cm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80$$
icm/host_name_full
icm/keep_alive_timeout
icm/conn_timeout

Check the below thread

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3465475

It had exactly the issue you are facing.,

What about SPDD and SPAU adjustments?

Actually I saw the thread which is having the same problem.

Did the work around, but still the same problem. The other thing I am having doubt is that the Java 1.4 is not supported on WS2012

Hi,

Does FQHN is resolved to IP address?

Can you please confirm if you had checked the note

773830 FQHN determination in ICM.

I just seen it. I will create a client first and then make the necessary changes..

But in all the documents and guides I saw, none of it actually says that I need to create a working client before i run solman_setup. So should I create a new client?

Hi Jack

You should create a working client as per SAP recommendations but normally its again a choice for customer whether to use 001 or create a new one.

you can refer below SAP Note with SAP recommendation

1630984 - Which Client Copy options to use for SAP Solution Manager to create a new Client ?

this also covers the copy options you should use while client creation

Thanks
