SUM and SAPServiceXXX problem

Former Member

Hi,

I'm executing the SUM in order to apply some patches on my system , but unfortunately I'm getting this error:

I can log in into the server using the SAPSErviceXXX user without problems.

In other forums suggest to add the user to the local securty policy :

User is already there but SUM continues displaying the same error.

Does someone know what can be happening?

Hi Carolinas,

Please check SAP Note 1874441, 1563660 and also check ownership/file permission of the file sapuxuserchk in both kernel locations /sapmnt/SID/exe and /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGSXX/exe.

Hi,

Fixed adding the em/initial_size_MB = 2400 parameter to the shadow instance profile.

Thanks a lot, Carolina

Hello Carolina

I remember getting this same error long time back and I vaguely recollect having to add the SAPService<sid> user to a AD group

Can you please confirm if user is setup with the correct groups?
