Unable to run SUM GUI from <hostnam>:4239

Hi Experts,

I started SUM through ./STARTUP. Then I opened <hostname>:4239 which asks to open sdtdsu.jnlp. I used javaws for the same. This opened SUM GUI for the first time. I closed the SUM utility because I had some problem with stck.xml file.

Now I am trying to run SUM utility again.

I ran ./STARTUP and then from <hostname>:4239 it asked to open sdtdsu.jnlp. I used javaws again but now it doesn't open SUM GUI. I can't see any error as well on screen or in ./STARTUP.

Operating System is Linux SUSW x86_64.

I will appreciate any help here.

Nitesh Agrawal

Hi Nitesh,

You can try the 2 options below for the current situation.

1. Run the command in terminal to lunch the SUM gui.

javaws http://<hostname>:4239/sdtdsu.jnlp

2. Or you can go to folder --/SUM/sdt/exe, and launch the DSUGui, then provide the hostname and port.

Best regards,

Charles

Hi Charles,

Thanks for your reply.

What I did was almost similar to this. I ran ./STARTUP in a termial and then launched DSUGui from another terminal and it worked. Runing DSUGui alone doesn't help since it didn't get connection.
