We have used ‘Resource Manager via Responsible Organization’ as Staffed By option in the Role Type.
As expected, this has provided ability only to the Resource Manager to assign the resource.
However, looks like we need to provide ‘write’ or ‘admin’ access to the Resource Manager for the respective projects via ACL. Only then can they assign a resource to the project via Staffing Overview Dashboard.
The checkboxes - Resource Management, Staffing Manager, Candidate Manager can only be used with at least ‘write’ authorization.
Admin Authorization also transfers the authorizations to the assigned resource as defaulted by the role type.
The requirement is that the Resource Managers have the ability to only assign resources to the project. They should not be able to view or change anything else in the project.
‘Write’ or ‘Admin’ access via ACL gives Resource Managers ability to edit the project which is causing an issue.
The resource manager has a role which has been copied from the standard SAP provided role for resource management.
Any help is much appreciated.
