Charm-urgent change transport releases.

Hi Experts,

Can any of you give me the back ground on what actually happens at the back end when  the requester set the status unit test complete.(according to standard urgent change,the TR gets released automatically when we set this status.

1.please explain how the TR gets released in managed system when we change the status in solman?

2.will be it a dialogue user who help in changing the status in charm?

3.will it be a user miantained in TMW rfc?

4.Is there any back ground job that runs for releasing the TR in managed system?

Hi Kittu

Urgent change transports will be carried using actions in urgent change that is defined in the change request framework, usually developer should not have access to change the status for urgent change as IT operator will move the status, At the backend your trusted rfc will be used for the same.

No background job as such.

Hi Kittu,

It is more of a process requirement then technical because we can a have dialog user change the status and transport will be released or imported for a urgent change in the background(in managed system) and also check below.

But

it is also possible to schedule a background job to import the request in the background without any user intervention at any schedule point of time

So based upon customer requirement both options can be configured.
