Dear Alexander,

Please check /etc/passwd file for checking the User id, field id,shell and home directory for the user.

I hope your SID is APO??

Also try to run the installation with SIDADM user..

Hello Nilesh,

SIDADM should not be used to run SWPM tool.
The installation guide points that root user must be used:

SAP Systems Based on the Application Server ABAP of SAP NetWeaver on UNIX: SAP HANA Database- Valid for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 to 7.4

5.6 Running the Installer

Procedure

1.Log on to the installation host as a user with root permissions.

Hello Nilesh,

You mentioned in the description of this thread that you want to perform a migration from AIX/Oracle to target system Linux/HANA. If this is the case, then you are not choosing the correct option in the SWPM tool.

You attached an image which shows that you are running option Database Move or Refresh. This option must only be used if you want to refresh your target system with the content from source system. Note that both systems must be the same (operating system, database and system version).

Since this is not your case, you must select option Standard System (assuming that it is a central system).

If your target system already exists, you must delete it prior running the target system installation, in order to avoid any inconsistency.

Have you execute the export choosing the menu Based on AS ABAP towards SAP HANA DB? Otherwise, the database was not properly exported to import on Hana.

For your reference, you can find the system copy and installation guides at:

http://www.service.sap.com/sltoolset ->

Software Logistic Toolset 1.0 ->

[Scroll down the page] System Provisioning ->

Installation: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and Higher

System Copy: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 or Higher

I also strongly suggest you to download the latest version of Software Provisioning Manager tool to perform this migration:

1680045 - Release Note for Software Provisioning Manager 1.0

If the issue still persists afterwards, please let me know.

Henrique Girardi
