Cannot access external data error in xcelsius

Hello.

I appreciate if someone can help me with this error.

I'm working on Dashboards 4.1 Patch 7 SP 5 and SP 5 WEBI 4.1 Patch 7 

By creating a WebServices generates me the following error in xcelsius

Cannot access external data

while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.rebean.wi.internal.rom.IObjectIdentifier.getObjectValue() of a null object returned from com.businessobjects.rebean.wi.internal.rom.IDataFilterLeaf.getKey()

Hello,

Please confirm the format of prompt values you are passing to web service from xcelsius. Sometimes the format of value passed is not matching, you may get this error. If you are passing date values, cross check it well and confirm the format is same.

Also are you fetching huge amount of data using this web service? Error is coming for all web service created or specifically for one?

It was indeed an error in the mapping and with a specific filter for a web service .
