Hi,
I am an novoice to SAP world
We have installed the SAP Solution Manager 4.0. on AIX box.
After the installation ,we rebooted the m/c.
Now i want to apply the SAP license to it.
For that i have to start the SAP Solution Manager service.
How should i start the SAP Solution Manager.
Any link or document would be very helpful.
Best Regards
Manoj
Hi,
Login to your system at OS level and then switch to sidadm user. type startsap and ensure it works well. The system should come up properly.
You check if the system is up or not either via URl or sapgui.
Then you can login to the system using ddic user using sapgui, and go to transaction slicense. Enter the credentials and install the license.
It should work for you.

Hi,
After booting your system in new terminal first logon as oracle user as follows
su - ora<SID> (Eg: orasmr)
then start listener through this command
lsnrctl start
after listener is started log on as adm user as follows
su - <SID>adm (Eg: smradm)
and start database through this command
startsap
after database started sucessfully you can apply the license
