Difference between quantity balance in Inventory Posting List and GRPO quantity

Dear Experts,

We have a set up of SAP B1 v.9 PL04.

For a strange reason, when a user adds a GRPO of quantity, say 1,092 units of item A, the corresponding balance that gets posted in Inventory Posting List is 13,104!

This has shocked us. Even after doing a Goods Retun and adding the GRPO again, the same behavior is repeated. Could this be an SAP bug? Please assist.

Hi Isaac,

Please check "Items per Purchase Unit" in item master data > Purchasing Data tab.

If it is One, then it should not happen.

Dear Isaac,

Please check if you are using multiple unit of measurement.

Also check if Purchase UOM and inventory UOM is same or different ?
