Dear All
For SAP ECC ERP implementation ABAP stack is required and it make sense.
But why we have an option to install Java Stack as well,
I don't find any good reason in most cases except that a J2EE server with few user who are pre-configure and authorize to access SAP ABAP stack in Java Server.
Is there any further benefit. This can be done with JCo and using light weight Java Stack like tomcat or JBoss also.
So again do we need Java Stack??
Last but not the lease that SAP did not upgrate their Java Stack from J2EE to Java EE 7, so SAP is also thinking the same that Java Stack is not required or not that important
regards
Saifuddin
Hello Saifuddin,
SAP ERP ECC can be single stack ABAP. There is no need to implement the Java stack if you do not need it. Your business scenario decides whether you need the Java stack or not. (Later you can upgrade with a Java stack as well.)
Regarding the latter Java release support, please stay tuned to the news about NW 7.5.
regards,
Peter
