Company Code without Controlling

Hi Experts,

i want to create a company code without controlling area assignment. I have already configured a Company code without Controlling area assignment(Copied Company Code). But when i try to post entries it throws out an error " Company Code XXXX not assigned to a Controlling Area. Message No. KM820"

How can i configure Financial accounting only?

What are the configuration i should eliminate?

Hi

At least one profit center is to be associated with each co code and profit center can't be created without controlling area, hence this relationship is a must in my opinion.

Wait for other help also on this.

All what you need to do is deactivate the document splitting for the relevant company code.

As per usage and experience of many experts it is understood that without controlling area financial accounting cannot be used.

Therefore it implied that at least a dummy controlling will have to created.

If you have profit center assigned in the posting, the posting is not possible if company code is not assigned to a controlling area.

Hi Aziz,

Check whether any profit center is assign to the line item during posting. Since the company code is not assigned to the Controlling Area.

Ensure no CO object is assigned.

Hi Aziz,

Go to OB13, Check Controlling Integration in Integration section, Change it to "No maintenance of cost elements".

Please try this and check.

Hi Prakash,

I have only two option in OB13, either to allow Manually or create Cost element automatically.

"no maintenance of Cost element" option you have mentioned is not possible. i assume the "Blank option" is what you are have referred above.
