DATABASE backup failing in DB13

Hi,

we have scheduled backup of hana database using DB13, But it failing unable to find the location.

Our system is distributed with database on suse linux and sap application on windows server 2012.

When we check further into error. System is looking into backup on windows host rather than database host.

Please let is there some thing i am missing or we cannot have backup in distributed environment.

Hi Kiran,

Yes HANA allows you to take a backup on the Distributed System

On DB13 when you try trigger/schedule a backup we have 3 fields available

Destination Type:      FILE/BACKINT

Backup Destination:  Backup path depending on the choice made in Destination type

Backup Prefix:           Any prefix of your choice

What do you see on those fields when you try to trigger/schedule a backup?
