Hi All,
I am facing an issue while generating stack file for our NW 7.0 SP18 dual stack upgrade to NW 7.31 dual stack.
Solman is 7.1 SP16.
When in LMDB under product system I put only Application Server ABAP System ID, I get option in maintenance transaction to select any target release of NW like 7.31 but when I move ahead it only takes ABAP stack of system and generate stack file only for ABAP stack and does not generate stack for JAVA stack.
Now when I add Application server JAVA system also in technical system of product system, During Maintenance transaction, I do not get NW versions for target system and only get solman system stacks and in warning I see - Netweaver 7.0 is privately owned by solman 7.0 which as per note 1987371 is just a warning and should not create any issue.
Please suggest what I am missing, how can we generate stack file for NW 7.0 Dual stack to 7.31 dual stack.
Regards,
Shivam
Hi,
We have Netweaver 7.0 dual stack system running and have some customized application installed on this system, few of them developed specially for our landscape.
As I find, Dual stack systems are supported till NW 7.31 so we are planning to upgrade to NW 7.31 dual stack as we do not want to split this application.
But facing issue in stack file generation, Not sure If this is possible to generate stack file of dual stack upgrade from NW 7.0 to NW 7.31 and if not possible to generate stack file then how can we perform this upgrade as this should be supported by SAP.
Strange thing is if I put either of ABAP or Java system(Anyone) I get option to select target release as Netweaver 7.31 but when I put both ABAP and Java in product system, it shows only solman stack in target release.
Please suggest.

Dual stack upgrade is possible for PI and Solman only. Let us know the system type.

Think of splitting dual stack and then go for upgrade.
BTW, what is this NW 7.0 system ?
