Support Packages Download

Hi.

As I can see, customers still dont actually need Solman Maintenance Optimizer to download support package - they can download them only using Sap Download Manager. Is it correct?

This depends on which version their system(s) are:

All corrective software packages, for SAP NetWeaver 2004s and SAP Business Suite 2005 and beyond that are delivered after April 2nd, 2007 will ONLY be available via SAP Solution Manager's Maintenance Optimizer.

So this is correct for versions < 2004s and 2005 and also correct for software packages which were released before 2nd April 2007.

Dear Tim

In Solman 3.2 Maintenance Optimizer can only CONFIRM support packages, added to SAP Download Basket. So, how can SAP Download Manager ( Basket) find, that support package was not confirmed in MOPZ?

Hello Vladimir,

Without this "Confirm" step in the solman you are not able to download the patches in the Download manager, this "confirm" step is adding a kind of "flag" in Download manager.
