Difference between DMS and cFolders
Hi Shirpa
SAP - DMS is mainly used for documenting the design information of the product. You can attach
the CAD models ( 3D & 2D ) to these documents.
Where as C-folders is the collaboration tool used for exchange of information / data with Suppliers and
Business partners. Documents are one of the object's that can be exchanged.
Hope this helps .
Thanks & Regards
Satish

Hi,
SAP DMS (Document Management System) is a core SAP ERP component to manage documents, and store them in one or multiple global distributed content servers. It is purely internal facing, in the intranet.
cFolders can be used for collaboration on documents and product data that is published from SAP ERP to a collaboration in the DMZ outside the intranet.
