Component in incidents

Hi guys,

We are implementing ITSM, when users create messages in the ERP, they do not appear with the corresponding component.

if I try to change it directly in the message, the correct components are not.

I  faced the same issue, however now you can not select the top level hierarchy components or forbidden text value in the SAP Component because It had became mandate now and it will validate at SAP's end as it will impact the Send to SAP functionality. You can hide that tray if you are not using the Send to SAP functionality.

Also if the users create the message from ERP system, component will be automatically filled up there however in general GUI screens like start page you have to enter manually. Best practice is to populate it from the help option and this will make sure that correct component had been chosen,
