Hello Junaid,

Report RSPO0041 has an advanced version called RSPO1041. If you have this Report in your system, perhaps you should run this Report (instead of RSPO0041).

In transaction SE38 display the selection screen of RSPO1041. Here you can fine-tune how old spools should be deleted.

For example: if you need the spools in your system only for 8 days, then

  • switch on the checkbox "Without Output Request", enter 8 for the field "older than ... days", and leave the "Or" and "Obsolete" on.
  • turn on the checkbox "In Processing" and enter 8 for the field "older than ... days".
Leave the "Or" selection as turned on, and turn on "Obsolete".
  • do the same steps for "Completed" and "Incorrect" too.

If you do not have any special requirements, you can leave all other options on default (under "Calendar", under "Further conditions" and "COMMIT all ... Spool requests".) Do not turn on "Only log without deleting?", as it would mean that the spools wouldn't be deleted.

After you are done with these, save the variant with menu "Goto" -> "Variants" -> "Save as Variant...".

Then in transaction SM36 you can schedule RSPO1041 with the saved Variant.

According to SAP Note #48400 - "Reorganization of TemSe and spool", RSPO1041 should run daily.

Best regards,

Laszlo
