Hi Expert ,
For a requirement , we want to create new data view by copying from existing data view adding one key figure and removing few key figures.
Looking into the complexity in transporting the one data view alone , I am looking for option for creating new data view by copying exiting data view
directly in production system.
Can please suggest if see any risk in that approach .
Thanks for help .
Hi Mosam
As a production system should be locked to created any new object, I am afraid you are able to create or copy a new data view directly on production system. Only option could see to ask your basis team to open Production system and perform the changes.
But this is not the best practice and you should try to avoid these steps. I think you can create data view on development system and only transport it via /SAPAPO/TSOBJ. Once transport has created you can delete all the data view and respective macro book objects from transport and only send the new data with it´s macros so you don´t have any risk of overwritting anything.
Please do let me know if you need any additional information on this side.
Thanks
Amol
