Screen Personas 3.0 demo-system best practices

Hello

I'm currently looking into setting up a new demo-system for our Screen Personas 3.0 showcases. Up until now we used a pretty old IDES-system with Screen Personas 2.0. As we tried to install Screen Personas 3.0 on a clone of that system, we ran into a lot of problems and personas would not run. Given this situation the decision was made to install a new system. My question is are there any best practices for setting up a Screen Personas demo system from scratch? Is the use of IDES recommended, or are there any alternatives? Would it be possible to create showcases without an underlying IDES installation?

So long as the NetWeaver basis release is new enough (which I assume is the problem with your current, old IDES system) I don't think Personas cares about the rest of the system. Of course, you can only use it to simplify transactions that exist in the system so without IDES that doesn't give you much to work with!
