HANA to HANA with SLT Replication - Can it be Done? (APO to BW for Plan vs Actual)

Hi Gang,

Our client wants to perform Plan vs Actual reporting by merging planning data from SAP APO on HANA with SAP BW on HANA actual data.

Can SLT Replicator copy and publish from one HANA system to another?

Thanks,

John Hawk

Hi John,

Yes, SLT can replicate data from a Hana DB to another Hana DB. Hana is among the supported databases as source of SLT.

Then you will have to make this table usable from the application (APO or BW). You can do this on ABAP or, for BW, you can create a virtual provider that allows you to access data from the Hana DB as any other BW infoProvider.

Frederic

It's theoretically possible, but why would you want to do that?

You could just do SDA from one HANA to the other, and consume that remote table as an OpenODS within your BW system.

Hi Henrique,

Nice to see your thread,

Could you please elaborate, how we can use SDA  to from HANA 1 to HANA2 to consume remote table.

I am working for client have scenario to replicate Master data from SAP HANA BPC+BW ( top up addon BW)  to SAP HANA APO.

I am thinking to replicate it via SLT then i came across you thread.

Your inputs will be highly appreciated. Thank you,

Regards,

Ramesh
