'Enter a material type' error in MDG-M

Hi,

I get this error only in some cases, and that too in Production system and hence need advice to solve this issue.

An MDG CR is created using standard API methods from a Z interface to create a material. All the data is populated via the API methods and the MDG CR creation is triggered. The CR is auto approved during material creation. i.e. no manual approval step is required.

90% of the time, the material does get created. 10% of the time, i get an error 'Enter a material type' and the status of this CR goes to 'Process errors after Activation'. However, the Material type is seen in the CR. Also, when I run the validation log again, I do not get the material type error.

I am not sure what is going wrong and where.
