Dear All,
When UJBR is executed to perform BACKUP in the foreground, after completing the process, it shows the status finally in a window with lots of messages.
When this is performed in the background, not sure where to see the same status message. In this case, normal SAP BW status window shows a one liner.
Pls. let me know where, in SAP GUI, can I check the status( which is EXACTLY shown in the case of foreground)?
Thank you,
Peri
Hi Peri,
Usually all BPC job post logs that can be seen in t/a SLG1. Check there; remember to limit selection at least by time.

Hi Peri,
As said by Prashant, You can follow the mentioned steps.
Also You can see the logs in Table "BALHDR"
Goto SE11 and see the entries.

Hi Peri,
For background jobs you will not the status on screen, as it gets executed in new process and context. In order to get the status you can follow below steps.
1. Goto sm37
2. look for the completed job which got executed in background
3. Goto spool details of the job
4. There you will get print option. once you print it locally or on paper you will get details and messsages as you get on screen if that job would have executed in foreground.
This approach works for me.
Thanks and Regards,
