PR Services field in display mode required as per release group in release strategy

Hi All ,

We want the Qty & Value field in a Services PR line item  Tab to be in display mode whenever there is a specific release indicator say '2'.

We tried to achieve it through field selection key available while configuring release indicator.

But with that we are unable to restrict the changes in services line item

We cannot use no changeability indicator as 1 i.e.. no changeable , because we want that user to change text or purchasing group in the PR even after the release of PR but before creation of PO wihtout retriggering the release strategy.

Pls guide with the solution or a work around to achieve the same.

Hi Sachin

In PR release strategy configuration, you can actually setup field selection key. But as you going to work with services. Goto External Services Management config -->Define Screen Layout-- Create new field selection key by copying ME52, Do your settings for

Outline levels

Service fields

Quantity fields

Price and value fields

Assign that field selection key to release indicator--field selection key category should be 3- release indicator. You give try to this if it work for you. Also note mentioned by Priti its states as follows

You can prevent the change of the fields after the release of the purchase requisition as follows:

• Call Transaction OLME (purchasing Customizing).
• Follow menu path 'Purchasing -> Purchase Requisition -> Release Procedure -> Procedure with Classification -> Set Up Procedure with Classification'
• Choose 'Release indicator'.
• Select the release indicator relevant for purchase orders and branch to the detail.
• Set the changeability to '1'.

Refer note Note 672719 - FAQ: Release strategies in the service which explains:

The field selection keys only work on item level, not on service level.  Thus, the fields on the service specifications screen remain ready for  input. You can prevent the change of the fields after the release of the purchase requisition as follows:

• You can use indicator 1 for not chnaging but as you told you do not wnat to use it so you have to contact your abaper for exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_001 user exit for release strategy PR'

This field selection key is not working because that field selection key is applicable for PR line item not service line item.

For service line item, system check a different field selection OLMSRV-Define Screen Layout-Purchase Requisition.

You may need to use some user exit or badi to restrict the same.
