SRM without requisitions - only purchase orders are allowed

Hello!

does anyone know a standard way to avoid the creation of requisitions?

Our customer wants only Purchase Orders created out of shopping carts.

As long as the Shopping Cart is not ready to create a purchase order it should stay at the requestor in SRM.

Workflow is no valid solution.

SAP SRM 7.02 with classic Scenario und ECC 6.0-Backend.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Wolfgang,

How about setting the product categories relevant for sourcing? Then SCs will go to Sourcing cockpit and only after purchaser carries out sourcing for it, will it be able to create follow-on document (PO).

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your answer - this is a good idea, but the customer has only requestors in SRM. Purchasing team works only in ERP (and there only with purchase orders).

They use SRM Shopping Cart only - nothing else.

Hi Wolfgang,

Then maybe a check BADI could be implemented to check whether the SC is "ready" according to the customer's logic. If not, then issue an error to prevent the requestor from ordering the SC.

Wendy
