ERROR: VK709 Activation was interrupted

Dears,

When trying to create and generate a table via V/05 transaction on SAP ECC 6.0 the following error is displayed:

Table contains 15 key fields with a total length of 138 positions. Then, I did several attempts excluding some fields and generating the table. The conclusion was that does not matter the key fields combination used, I could not use more than 11 key fields.

* SAP standard mentions that a maximum of 16 key fields per table is permitted with a total length of 255.

Someone experienced this issue? What is the potential solution without exclude fields from the key?

Thanks,

Regards,

Willy Hernández

Not sure if those are counted towards the 16 field limit but don't forget that additional fields, such as Client (MANDT) and validity date are added to all those tables.

Also - aren't there more details available in the log? What happens when you double-click on the error message?

Overall have to agree though - 15 key fields looks a bit too much...

Hi Jelena,

Your comment have total sense as checking in the ABAP editor the table generated contains into the key other extra fields: client (MANDT), application (KAPPL), condition type (KSCHA), Release status (KFRST) and Validity end date of the condition record (KODATAB). In total 5 fields. This explains why I can only add 11 fields without error (11 + 5 = 16).

Thanks a lot !!!

Willy.

Why V/05?? (It is just display of condition tables)

May i know why are you trying with 16 fields in the the condition table???

(i think it may affects system performance too in finding the condition record)

Instead why cant we redesign the process??

Just an Idea of mine--It may varies as your requirement..

Check the following notes:-

  • Note 100753 - Generation error in condit.tab./info structures
  • Note 183351 - V/03: Generation log is incorrect

Hi Willy,

This could be because of unfavorable sequence of fields. Kindly check.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Could you please exactly define favorable or unfavorable concept in this context?

Are there SAP rules defined explaining this situation?
