We are trying to promote the use of RF transactions for warehouse inventory counts, and are finding that transaction LM50 will only accept the count in the WM unit of measure. As a matter of practice, we use the PAL unit of measure in our warehouses and enter a conversion from base unit of measure to PAL in the alternate units of measure on the material master. This is forcing us to enter the count in PAL when we want to enter in base unit of measure (usually EA). We also find that transaction LI11N has no problem accepting the count in the base unit of measure. Has anybody else encountered this issue, and can you recommend a solution?
Thank you.
Bob Bucy
I had this exact issue a while ago, and as far as I remember nothing helped in changing the UoM used in LM50/LM51, had to develop it...

Hi Bob,
The following notes may be relevant to your issue:
702670 LM51 - wrong UOM in display
679734 LM50/LM51 - wrong UOM when saving from 151
686044 LM50/LM51 - default UOM not by customization
Otherwise, user exit mwmrf152 may help serve your purpose.
Thanks,
