hdbtable - creation/alter scripts

Hi ,

i have created tables using .hdbtable scripts and transported to production system.

like to add 1 column in the existing table.

how do i add column. ( * please note - data has been loaded in the  table).

*Note : i am aware that - we can use alter table command - in normal case.

but not sure we can apply this alter statement in .hdbtable  - created using hana development perspective.

Hi Raaj,

you just have to add your additional column to your .hdtable file. During the activation the additional column will be added to the existing table. Consider that all columns will be added at the end table, so the order of columns can be different between design time and run time object.
