error starting BIKit portal service

hi

when i try to start the com.sap.portal.guimachine.BIKit portal service using enterprise portal System Administration > Service Configuration

i'm getting this error :

Server 4178350:Error in the listener class com.sap.ip.portal.admin.portalanywhere.QueryHandler during the process of handleTopic.

what must be the thing i'm missing

i'm using ep 6 sp 9

and also

will vc 6 support connecting to bw 3.1 systems ?

Hi Jer, about the problem... have you installed the VC Patch5 ?

What version of com.sap.portal.guimachine.BIKit do you have ?

In VC6 you can connect to BW3.1 with XMLA connectors.
