Parameter value not reflecting in RZ11 from RZ10

Hi Experts,

One of the Parameter "login/accept_sso2_ticket=1" is not reflecting in RZ11 from RZ10.

Once after the restart the parameter is restoring to its default value "0" in RZ11. But the value in RZ10-default profile is maintained as"1".

We have also verified the value at OS level and its value is "1".

Please help me with this issue.

Best Regards,

Amarnath

Hi Amarnath,

Please make sure that this parameter should exists only in one profile (either in Default profile or in Instance profile).

Check your DEFAULT.PFL and Instace profile for this parameter.

Also check if same parameter is existing twice in a same profile with two different values.

Next step would be importing profiles of active servers.

Goto RZ10 -> Utilities -> Import Profiles -> Of active servers

Hope this helps you to resolve this issue.

Hi Amarnath,

Have you imported profiles of all active servers in RZ10?

Also please make sure this parameter exists only in DEFAULT.PFL and not in multiple profiles.

Hi Divekar,

I didn't import import any profile. I have just added the parameter in default profile and restarted the system. I didn't see this parameter in Instance profile in SAP or at OS level.

I am little confused why this parameter is showing up 2 times in RSPARAM.

Please help.

Hi Amarnath

You have to add the parameter in instance profile not in default profile, May be because of that its show two enters,

Remove the profile parameter enter in default profile, restart the system and check the same in development system.

Hi Sairam,

I have followed the same process in Quality as well. I have added this parameter in Default profile only.

I did not see this parameter in in Instance profile in SAP or OS level.

Hi

Yes, you can define the profile parameter in either one of the profiles(Not on both profiles).

Save the parameter correctly in profile from RZ10.

Make sure you import the profiles from import profile -->> active servers.

Generate a new version and take a restart.

HI Amar,

I think you might have maintained this parameter twice in same or different profiles.

please cross check this.

Check whether you have improted the profile to the system in RZ10.

Also cross verify at RZ11.

If possible check it in RSPARAM program

Hi Amarnath

From snapshot parameter are displayed two time(login/accept_sso2_ticket), normally it should display one time, Could you check the parameter in RZ10 or at OS level or have you added another one enters?
