I am new to this forum and new to SAP also.
Just learning SAP XI and would like to know more things about XI, like present version, market, future of SAP XI and all.
I heard about Java Mapping in SAP XI and Adapter module using JAVA.
<b>What are the steps to do java mapping?</b>
<b>What are the steps involved in Adapter Module?</b> And the java adapter module will it work same as built-in Adapters.
Please replay with any Weblogs or Documents on this

Hi Pullaiah,
XI provides a technical infrastructure platform for XML-based message exchange in order to connect SAP components with each other, as well as with non-SAP components. Current version of XI is PI 7.0 (Process Integration).
Future of XI is very good and seems that it will get more boom in coming future. No need to woory about the market of XI. If you learn it well then there are numerous opportunities for it.
We use JAVA mapping when graphical mapping is not sufficient while doing mapping. There are two more mapping those are: ABAP Mapping and XSLT Mapping.
