Defects recording: Notification status DLFL

Hi;

I need some info regarding quality notifications created automatically during defects recording.

My understanding of process is:

Notifications are created during results recording (i.e. when valuation is done) but only for “out of spec” results.

After taking Usage Decision, notifications are automatically completed (NOCO).

I’ve analyzed yesterday’s notifications and found that only one of the +/-180 were also assigned with status DLFL.

Notification system status: NOCO DLFL DEFR

Inspection Lot system status: UD PASG CCTD CALC RREC DEF STIC ICCO MSUB SUB SPRQ SPCO CLQM CLAS STUP

Why was DLFL (Deletion Flag) set only for this specific notification?

Best Regards

W

Hi

I found the solution.

An “out of spec” result was reported then verified, closed & saved (Defect class defaulted to “02”).

This resulted in an auto Notification.

The Inspec characteristic was then “Put in process” again and menu option “Setting / Defect class on” activated. When performing valuation again, a pop up appears where the Defect class can be changed.

When selecting a new Defect class & SAVE, SAP will close the first notification (NOCO) as well as assign Deletion flag (DLFL).

A new notification will then be created for the new Defect class.

In table QMEL, 2 notifications will show for the relevant inspection lot.

Regards
