OPJJ (Checking group and checking rule) and OPJK (plant and order type-checking rule): we want plant level quantity availability check for our plant during order creation. so by selecting the tick for "no storage loc insp" in checking group and checking rule combination in OPJJ, will it work? or for this do we need to maintain concerned checking group in all components of the order? please advise.

You need to maintain both customizing transactions.

OPJK - you need to maintain the ATP RULE, which can be different per PLANT and ORDER TYPE.

STD rule is "PP".

OPJJ - you need to maintain the CHECKING CONTROL per ATP CHECKING GROUP/ ATP RULE

In OPJJ you specify if your ATP check should be performed at STORAGE LOCATION LEVEL or NOT.

"Storage location level" is more restictive.

If you apply a check at PLANT LEVEL, you should have a bigger ATP quantity in CO09, and more orders should be confirmed in terms of availability of its components.

Raju,

selecting the tick for "no storage loc insp" in checking group and checking rule combination in OPJJ, will it work?

Selecting this tickbox will bypass storage location ATP.  Assuming you have no batches in your production order requirements, then you will in effect get a 'plant level' ATP check.

do we need to maintain concerned checking group in all components of the order?

When you execute an availability check against a production order, you are actually checking the availability of components.  What do you think?  Better still, why not just try this yourself in a sandbox.....
