Till now we are using R/3 ECC systems as backend as well as user data source,

We are moving to AD(Active Directory)/LDAP as user data source,Please help me to understand the below points

Do we need to create connectors for AD/LDAP to fetch the user data.

What are prerequisites to use AD/LDAP as user data source.

highly appreciate for your inputs please.

Ravi,

LDAP is the protocol used to talk to the AD (AD is a directory services database). So what do you want to know about AD? From my point of view everything is in the wiki mentioned above.

Hello Alessandro,

That means AD is acts as database for user data, using LDAP connectors we can fetch data into GRC system

Is that my understanding is correct or we need to perform anything other than this.

Dear Ravi,

this is correct. For LDAP to work you need some field mappings which are also described in the wiki.

Alessandro
