Inventory management with control over flight no and containers
I've a requirement to manage inventory on the flight and containers, on which the goods are sent, with basic MM functionality. We don't have WM.

Please let me know if there is any such functionality in SAP MM module

   Seems you are talking about containers / packaging materials. Refer the concept of RTP in the help doc: Returnable Transport Packaging - Managing Special Stocks (MM-IM) - SAP Library and

Use the field 'Bill of lading (GOHEAD-FRBNR)' to control flight number and for controlling containers use the fields 'Number of containers(GOITEM-ANZGEB)' and 'lot containers(GOITEM-GEBEH)'.

You can find the above said fields in OMJX. In order to access the fields 'No. of. Container' and 'Lot Container' you need to make required settings in the Quality management. For this use the path

SPRO --> Quality management --> Basic Settings --> Maintain Settings at Plant level

Try activating fields of Lot container (GOITEM-GEBEH) &  Number of Containers (GOITEM-ANZGEB) in t.code:OMJX for goods receipt
